released this
2026-05-15 22:16:02 +02:00 | 40 commits to main since this releaseThe plugin now updates itself from GitHub releases. After this version is installed, future releases will show up in your WordPress dashboard as standard update notices — no manual zip upload needed.
How it works
A new
LRob_Calendar_Updaterclass (no external library, ~200 lines) hooks two WordPress filters:pre_set_site_transient_update_plugins— when WordPress checks for plugin updates, the updater hitsapi.github.com/repos/LRob-FR/wp-lrob-calendar/releases/latest, compares the release'stag_nametoLROB_CALENDAR_VERSION, and injects the release-zip URL into the update transient when a newer version is available.plugins_api— the "View version details" modal pulls the release info from GitHub, with the release body rendered from Markdown into HTML for the changelog.
The GitHub API response is cached in a WordPress transient (12 hours on success, 1 hour on failure), well clear of GitHub's 60 req/hour unauthenticated rate limit even on shared hosting where many sites share an outbound IP.
The updater loads on every request — not just admin — so WP-cron-driven update checks and WP-CLI invocations (like Plesk's WordPress Toolkit nightly scan) also pick up new releases.
Compatibility
- Standard WordPress "Updates" page: ✅
- Auto-update toggle in the Plugins list: ✅
- WP-CLI (
wp plugin update): ✅ - Plesk WordPress Toolkit nightly scans: ✅ (uses WP-CLI under the hood)
- Plesk's "Smart Updates" (visual diff) feature: probably bypassed (that feature is wp.org-only), but regular auto-updates still apply.
Install
Same as before: download
lrob-calendar-1.1.1.zipbelow and upload via WP Admin → Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin. This is the last time you'll need to do that manually — future releases will surface as in-dashboard updates.Downloads

v1.1.0 — Frontend overhaul Stable
released this
2026-05-15 22:00:42 +02:00 | 41 commits to main since this releaseA visual + UX rebuild. Installs cleanly over 1.0.x — no DB migration, no breaking import-format changes.
Highlights
Design language
Flat / modern / breathable. New design-token system (
tokens.css): 8px spacing scale, radius scale, surface palette, soft elevated shadow, primary palette derived viacolor-mix(). Old--lrob-*token names kept as aliases so theme overrides still work.Admin Appearance settings
- Brand colors — configurable primary + secondary (WP color picker). Inline override printed on the tokens stylesheet so it ships only when a block actually loads.
- Date pill color (uncategorized events) — Random per-event / Use primary / Use a specific color.
- Popup featured image — show / hide.
- Popup image fit — Show whole image (natural aspect) / Crop to fill.
Month grid
- Crisp light grid lines, no filled cells. Today is a small primary-colored pill behind the day number.
- Out-of-month days now fill the padding cells (muted) — you can see which weekday the month starts on at a glance.
- Day names: lowercase, full text color, bold. Day numbers: centered, bold.
- Events render as colored dot + title pills (one per event, tinted by category color or a hashed pastel). Multi-day = soft tinted bar.
- New header: title left (large, bold), grouped prev/next chevrons, "Today" button, Month/Week pill switcher.
- New Week view (7-day vertical agenda).
- "+N more" is now a clickable pill that opens the day-agenda list.
Popup card
- Unified rendering — calendar block and events-list block both use the same shared module (
assets/js/event-popup.js). - Top-anchored centered modal on desktop (so prev/next nav doesn't shift the modal vertically when card heights differ), edge-to-edge fullscreen on mobile.
- Date block (big day over uppercase short month) on the left of the header, title centered, ghost prev/next + close on the right.
- Per-event color pair drives the date block (and the events-list date pill).
- Stroke-icon meta rows, icons in the primary accent color.
- Date + time stacked on two lines, no "at" / "à" preposition.
- Featured image: natural aspect ratio up to 60vh, supporting content below the meta.
- Sticky bottom CTA on mobile with
safe-area-insetrespected. - Two-card slide animation for prev/next, including across months (grid re-renders behind the popup).
Events list templates
- list / full: line-separated rows (no card chrome), colored date pill on the left, content middle, image right (configurable), optional details button at the row edge.
- grid: image-on-top with date-badge overlay. Without an image, the placeholder IS the date display (per-event colored tile).
- minimal: single-line row — date pill + title + optional time.
- Image position option: Right column (default), Left column, or Below (full-width banner).
- Event description mode: Inline (default) / "View details" button that opens the popup / Hidden.
- Image clicks on rows route to the popup when description mode is
button— no more separate lightbox.
Single-event block + page
- Refreshed meta block with stroke icons and design tokens.
Mobile
- Popup is a full-screen modal: sticky header, sticky bottom CTA.
- Tap a day with events → day-agenda list; tap an item → full event card.
- Grid events become pure colored dots; everything else preserves the desktop layout, just compressed.
- Min 44px tap targets on interactive elements.
Icon system
- All 9 icons rewritten as Lucide-style strokes. New:
chevron-left,chevron-right,x,arrow-right,info.
Removed
- The fullscreen image lightbox is gone. The popup card now shows the image at 60vh natural-aspect, which was the lightbox's whole job.
- Per-block popup attributes (
popupSize, popupImageDisplay, popupImageHeight, popupShowImage, popupImageLightbox, imageLightbox) — replaced by the two global Appearance settings. - Saved blocks with these attributes don't break; the attributes are just ignored.
Translation
French strings added for every new editor control and runtime label.

v1.0.1 Stable
released this
2026-05-14 17:26:03 +02:00 | 43 commits to main since this releaseBug fixes, UX polish, and a mobile popup overhaul.
Highlights
Mobile popup
- Now a fullscreen flex overlay with a darkened backdrop and body scroll lock.
- Prev/next arrows pinned to the screen edges, OUTSIDE the card.
- Card-to-card swipe is a true two-card transition: the outgoing card slides off in the gesture direction while the incoming card slides in from the opposite edge, simultaneously. No more black-flash between cards.
- Sibling thumbnails preloaded on popup open so navigation feels instant.
Calendar / popup
- Today's events stay visible even after their end time has passed.
- Popup card now shows all the info that was missing in v1.0.0 (recurring badge, etc.).
- Multi-day bars on mobile no longer overflow the calendar.
Events list & single-event blocks
- New "Natural" image-height option: fits the card width at the image's own aspect ratio (auto-disables click-to-enlarge).
- New "Click image to enlarge" toggle to opt out of the lightbox.
- Short excerpts no longer show a fade-out gradient when there's nothing to truncate.
Admin / branding
- Author switched to "LRob"; Plugin URI now points to https://www.lrob.fr/wordpress/plugins/lrob-calendar/.
- French translation updated for the new strings.
