A release about who really receives your newsletters — and about knowing it. Several fixes come from real sites: a WordPress user who never got a single email although they were in every list, open rates above 100 %, bounces answered to a mailbox nobody read.

    👥 Subscribers and lists

    • WordPress users added to a subscribers list now receive what is sent to it. The membership was shown everywhere — chips, counts, the audience picker — and mailed nowhere. List counts now show exactly what a send reaches, and the "−N opt-out" hint covers subscribers and users alike.
    • One address, one record. Importing the address of a WordPress account joins the lists as that account instead of creating a second subscriber with its own lists and opt-in; the duplicates already there are merged into the account when you update.
    • Ask for consent again. A bulk action Ask to confirm again puts the people you select back to "pending" and sends them the confirmation email, a few a minute, from the site's cron — 700 people are no timeout. Until they click they receive nothing; those who never click stay pending. The import's Pending option now really sends that email (it only said so before). Edit the "Confirmation" signup email first if you want to explain why you are asking.
    • Clearer page. A Never mailed pill on any address on the suppression list, a one-sentence tooltip on the Status column about who receives a newsletter, and Inscrit / Désinscrit instead of Opt-in / Opt-out in French.

    📊 Statistics you can trust

    • Open and click rates can no longer pass 100 %. Opens had been recorded on recipients who were not measured (sent the deliverability pixel only); rates are now computed on the measured recipients alone, and those stray measurements are cleaned up on update.
    • People who leave are counted on the newsletter they left from — unsubscribes and "forget me" requests, told apart, on the dashboard, per newsletter, per list, on the card and in Deliverability. An unsubscribe from an older email counts against the last newsletter the person received.

    📬 Deliverability

    • Bounces go where you read them. When an identity reads its non-delivery reports, they are now addressed to the mailbox it logs into, even when the visible sender is another address; the identity card says where they go.
    • A report about an address you really mailed acts at once — a dead address (550 5.1.1, 552 "mailbox not found"…) is marked bounced and never mailed again, even when the report quotes none of our headers. The Latest reports handled table says what each report changed, and Gmail's diagnostic is no longer cut after its first line.
    • Before you send, a draft warns when the same lists were mailed in the last 24 hours, or when a link shows its full web address as text — the two things spam filters hold against an erratum.
    • Choose the identity of the subscription emails (confirmation, reminders, address change) in the newsletter settings; reminders used to leave under the default identity.

    🐛 Also fixed

    • A site title with an apostrophe (L'atelier d'Émilie) reached recipients as d'Émilie in the sender name, the subjects and the emails.
